From Conversation to Action: Victoria’s Circular Economy

Looking back on an evening of connection, collaboration and ideas for Victoria’s circular economy

The Victorian Cleantech Cluster was pleased to bring together members of Victoria’s circular economy community for Closing the Loop: Connecting Victoria’s Circular Economy.

Held in collaboration with Boomerang Labs and FB IDEAs, and proudly sponsored by the City of Melbourne, the event brought together people from across industry, government, research and the broader circular economy ecosystem.

Connecting ideas across the sector

A key part of the evening was the series of breakout sessions, which gave participants the opportunity to connect across sectors, share experiences and identify the strengths, barriers and opportunities shaping Victoria’s circular economy.

One clear strength was the passion, innovation and momentum already present across the sector. At the same time, participants highlighted the challenge of creating the funding, policy and market conditions needed for circular solutions to grow and scale.

These conversations provided valuable insight into both the progress already being made and the areas where further collaboration and support are needed.

Taking the conversation forward

The conversation doesn't end with the event.

VCC will carry these insights forward to help shape future events and areas of focus, building on the ideas, challenges and opportunities identified throughout the evening to better support the continued growth of Victoria's circular economy.
